Profhilo® is one of the latest treatments for bio-remodelling, using hyaluronic acid (HA) which stimulates the production of natural collagen and elasticity in the skin.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Profhilo® doesn’t volumise but instead stimulates the laying-down of new collagen and elastin in the superficial layers, just under the surface of the skin.
So what is Profhilo®?
Profhilo® is an injectible moisturiser made up of a high concentration of a carbohydrate called hyaluron that is naturally present in the skin but declines with age. It promotes skin hydration and collagen formation.
Profhilo® has a unique formulation that is free of additives. Its consistency is like runny honey, allowing it to spread (slow release) through the skin tissues and underlying structures forming a hydrating layer and stimulating cell production including collagen and elastin.
Profhilo® is an excellent anti-ageing treatment, clinically proven to help with a wide range of ageing symptoms. The result is lifted tissue with fewer lines and wrinkles, improved texture and intense hydration.

What is Profhilo® used for?
Unlike other anti-ageing injectables, Profhilo® uses HA which is used to treat skin laxity and to help remodel ageing, sagging and crepey skin. It hydrates and firms the skin and is shown to have a stimulatory effect on the cells producing collagen and elastin to help tighten, lift the skin and improve skin quality to give it a more youthful look.
Treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage and hands.
What does the treatment involve?
The treatment involves placing Profhilo® under the skin using a fine needle into five specific BAP sites (bio aesthetic point) on each side of the face or neck. The injections are usually well tolerated and are just under the skin layers. Profhilo® then spreads evenly throughout the surrounding tissues to hydrate and stimulate the collagen and elastin production.
How long does Profhilo last?
For best results, you are required to have 2 treatments one month apart to begin with, then 1 treatment every 6 to 9 months after that, or when you begin to see the treatment’s effects wearing away.
The results of Profhilo® treatments vary by patient and depends on skin type and age. Treatment stimulates new collagen and elastin cells, and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
