Botulinum Toxin
Dysport® vs Botox®
Botox® and Dysport® are injectable medications used to treat facial wrinkles and other conditions. Both brands are made from similar forms of botulinum toxin. They are both registered in New Zealand for the treatment of facial wrinkles.
I stock Dysport® because I prefer it’s look and longevity. I have found that Dysport® produces superior results to Botox®, especially in terms of on-set of action – it works faster!

Benefits of Botulinum Toxin
Non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as Dysport®, Botox® and Dermal Filler treatments have been embraced by those who want the benefits of looking and feeling good about themselves.
Do you want to soften the facial frown, forehead and crows lines? Dysport® muscle relaxant will do this.
My goal is to enhance your natural beauty while keeping you looking like you, just the more youthful version.
Dysport® for facial enhancement requires a particular eye and a knowledge of facial muscle structure, form and function. Knowing this allows me to achieve the look you are after while keeping you looking beautiful and natural.
Dysport® is a prescription medicine for the treatment of frown lines, horizontal forehead lines and crow’s feet around the eyes.
What is a Dysport® injection?
Dysport® is an injection containing abobotulinumtoxinA (Botulinum Toxin Type A). Botulinum Toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity.
It lasts approximately 3-6 months depending on how long you’ve been using it and your individual skin type.
When nerve conduction is blocked, muscles stop contracting, if the muscles stop contracting, the skin overlying the muscles stop creasing and wrinkles are reduced. Done over a period of time, deep wrinkles can be significantly erased.
What is involved in the treatment of Dysport®?
The treatment of wrinkle relaxers is straightforward and quick. A full consultation is provided before treatment and no allergy testing is required pre-treatment. In the consultation, we will discuss your areas of concern and budget. I will then prescribe your dose or number of units required for the best outcome and give you the cost.
A very small amount is injected via a tiny needle into the desired area and normally takes about 5 minutes. Pain is minimal and no pain relief is required. I am happy to give you an ice pack if you are concerned about pain.
After treatment, you can carry on with your day as normal with no downtime.
How quickly will I see results?
You may see results in as early as 2-3 days. Typically improvement is noticed in 5-7 days. The treatment lasts 3-6 months and then needs to be repeated. Over time as the wrinkles lessen, the amount of Dysport® is reduced or the time between treatments is extended.
How much do Dysport® (Botox®) injections cost?
I prefer not to list my prices online but can guarantee my prices are competitive and fair to the experience I hold.
If you would like a quote, please email, phone or text me and I am more than happy to give you a cost. Or even better, come see me for a no obligation free consultation (see below).
