What are Dermal Fillers?
One of the key effects of ageing is volume loss. Dermal fillers made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA) are an excellent cosmetic treatment to support your own natural beauty. Best of all, dermal fillers are safe, non-permanent and can be dissolved if the result is not to your liking.

What is involved in the treatment of Dermal Filler lip enhancement?
After a thorough consultation where we discuss the results you want and your budget, I will give you a recommended dose. I will then prep you for your treatment by removing your makeup and applying antiseptic, to prevent infection.
Firstly I will apply a topical anaesthetic to your lips, as the lips are very sensitive. I will then use a very fine needle to insert the Dermal Filler into and around your lips. The Dermal Fillers themselves also have a numbing agent in them to provide a comfortable procedure.
How long will Dermal Filler last and how quickly will I see results?
Treatment outcomes are evident instantly. There is always a settling in period for the filler, with slight swelling and/or bruising that may distort the final result. Usually, this settles around 3-7 days.
Your lips will keep their new look for approximately 6 – 18 months.
Is Dermal Filler permanent?
Permanent dermal fillers are higher risk than Hyaluronic Acid fillers, so I do not use them. Internationally, there have been some extremely rare cases of blindness. There are areas that are higher risk for this, such as the nose and frown areas, although no area is deemed “safe”. I do not offer treatment in high risk areas.
How much do Dermal Fillers cost?
I prefer not to list my prices online but can guarantee my prices are competitive and fair to the experience I hold.
RESTYLANE® is a gel containing hyaluronic acid and lidocaine that is injected by a healthcare professional into or below the skin to smooth facial wrinkles and enhance lips by restoring volume and fullness. Restylane® is a Class III medical device has risks and benefits. Restylane® treatment may result in some redness, swelling, pain or tenderness, itching and/or bruising which may last a few days. Inflammatory reactions can begin up to two to four weeks after treatment in rare cases. See your healthcare professional if any side effects concern you. Exposure to excessive sunlight or extreme cold should be avoided until redness or swelling has resolved. Restylane® should not be used in an area where there is a non-resorbable implant or in irritated or infected skin, Restylane® should not be used in people taking blood thinning medicines or who have an allergy to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine or other local anaesthetics. Caution if you take medicines that prolong bleeding time. Treatment lasts 12-24 months. Restylane® has not been tested in pregnant or breast-feeding women.
