Platelet-Rich Plasma

Why get Platelet-Rich Plasma treamtnets?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a simple, safe, non-surgical procedure utilising your body’s cells and chemistry for your skin rejuvenation. PRP therapy helps promote and accelerate the body’s natural healing and rejuvenation processes without subjecting you to significant risk. The philosophy is to merge cutting edge technology with the body’s natural ability to heal.

This subtle treatment is used to treat tired and dry skin and overall texture and tone improvement. I love to use it in combination with SkinPen®, which is known as the vampire facial.

So what is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma and is derived from your own blood, containing over 300 active growth factors. These are harvested from your own blood in the clinic and then reintroduced into your skin, resulting in collagen synthesis and skin rejuvenation.

Basically, a mask made out of a component of your very own blood — not anyone else’s — is spread all over your face to rejuvenate your complexion.

What are the main benefits of PRP?

This exciting therapy helps with skin rejuvenation and regeneration, increases skin thickness, scar reduction, rosacea and acne treatment, and increases collagen production.

What is the process of facial rejuvenation with PRP?

Blood is taken from you using the patented RegenLab PRP tube, in a procedure similar to a blood test. This blood is then spun in a centrifuge that separates the red blood cells from the PRP using a special gel.

The PRP is then injected directly into the skin using a small needle to support and help accelerate the process of skin regeneration and repair.

When will I see the results?

Results of PRP treatment vary from person to person, as with any treatment, but more so with PRP due to the use of your own blood. You are likely to get better results if you are in good health.

Visible results will not be immediate. You will see some swelling from the fluid, but once this has subsided you will not see much change at all (within 12-24 hours).

Over the next 3 months, the PRP stimulation will gradually improve the texture and tone of your skin, and this improvement will continue over the following months.

Results are slow to be seen with PRP but continue for a long time.
For optimum results, I recommend 3 initial treatments and then 1 treatment every 6-12 months.

What areas can be treated?

Any area of the body, including skin around the eyes, cheeks, neck, jaw line, chest, décolletage and back of the hands.

Is PRP safe?

PRP is an especially safe treatment, with no risk of allergic reaction because I use your own blood. However, anytime a needle is used in the body there is a risk of infection, bleeding, bruising and nerve damage. For this treatment, these risks are very low.

How much does PRP treatment cost?

I prefer not to list my prices online but can guarantee my prices are competitive and fair to the experience I hold.
